Privacy Policy

Effective 4 September 2026

Heicora converts HEIC and HEIF photos to JPG, PNG or PDF on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to any conversion service. There is no account and no advertising. The app measures which features are used, in counts only, and you can switch that off in Settings.

Your photos

• The photos you select are read only to perform the conversion you asked for, and only on your device.
• Converted files go where you choose: your Photos library, the Files app or the share sheet. Nothing is sent to Heicora.
• Your original photos are never modified or deleted.
• Temporary working files are removed when you finish or discard a session.

Photo information (metadata)

By default Heicora keeps your photo information (EXIF), including location, in the converted files. You can choose Remove Location or Remove Photo Info before converting. All of this happens on your device; Heicora never reads your metadata for any other purpose and never sends it anywhere.

Permissions

Heicora asks for no permission at first launch. Choosing photos uses Apple's photo picker, which gives Heicora only the photos you pick, not your library. When you tap Save to Photos, Heicora asks for add-only access so it can write the converted photos to your library. Saving to Files needs no permission.

Purchases

Heicora Pro is a one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store. To recognise your purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app identifier and your App Store transaction receipt. RevenueCat never receives your photos, your metadata or anything about what you convert. Apple handles payment; see Apple's privacy policy.

What we do not collect

• photo contents, thumbnails or previews
• EXIF, GPS or any other photo metadata
• names, email addresses or accounts
• advertising identifiers or tracking data
• anything about an individual photo — not its contents, name, size, format or where it came from

Usage measurement

Heicora uses Firebase Analytics to count how the app is used, so we know which features are worth improving. It records counts and choices, never content:

• that the app was opened for the first time, and that a first conversion happened
• when a conversion finishes: how many photos were in the batch and which output format was chosen
• when the Pro screen is shown, and which locked feature led there
• when a purchase or restore completes

Firebase also records its own standard app events on top of those: a first open, the start and length of a session, app updates, and which screen is on display. A screen is identified by its name in the app — "Converter", "Settings" — never by anything on it.

No photo, filename, file size or metadata is part of any of this, and there is no account to attach it to. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not read: the app does not include Firebase's identity component, so it never asks to track you across other apps.

You can turn it off. Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Usage Data. Switching it off stops collection immediately, on your device, for as long as it stays off.

Data kept on your device

Heicora remembers a few small things, all of them in iOS's own app settings storage on your iPhone and none of them ever sent anywhere:

• how many sessions you completed successfully, so it can ask for an App Store rating only after several good outcomes
• how many photos you have converted in total, shown in Settings
• your appearance choice (System, Light or Dark)
• your language choice
• whether you turned usage measurement off

Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Changes

If Heicora's data handling ever changes, this page and the app's App Store privacy details will be updated before the change ships.
